About the FIGHT Logo
The FIGHT Logo
What is the meaning behind the FIGHT logo?
The Phoenix - It is a mythical bird with a tail of beautiful gold and red plumage (or purple and blue, by some sources). It has a 500 year life-cycle, near the end of which it builds itself a nest of cinnamon twigs that it then ignites; both nest and bird burn fiercely and are reduced to ashes, from which a new, young phoenix or phoenix egg arises, reborn anew to live again. The new phoenix is destined to live as long as its old self.
The bird was also said to regenerate when hurt or wounded by a foe, thus being almost immortal and invincible — it is also said that it can heal a person with a tear from its eyes and make them temporarily immune to death; It is a symbol of fire and divinity.
FIGHT – Family Inspires Great Hope Together
Webster’s defines Family as: 1) a group of persons of common ancestry (clan); and 2) a group of people united by certain convictions or a common affiliation (Fellowship).
Family is not restricted simply to those who are blood relations. Family is not limited to proximity. Family is not just those select few people we see on a daily basis, but it also includes the people who have become part of lives in other ways. Family truly encompasses each and every individual who touches our life, who cares about us, who hurts when we hurt, who gives in time of need whether it be via time, prayers, warm thoughts or otherwise. Family is a fellowship of individuals which inspire great hope when joined together to FIGHT a common enemy.
When put together the logo represents the power of your thoughts, your words and most of all, your love -
It encompasses the belief that with hope you have the ability to rise from the ashes of despair and truly believe miracles can happen.
